REOCCURRING CHARACTERS

The Thing

The Thing is one of the Hulk's most frequent interactions, whether it be friendly or a face-off.  There have been many classic battles between these two and there are still debates as to who is the stronger of the two.  I think we all know the answer though!

The Avengers

The Avengers have been intertwined in the Hulk's story for years.  Vision played and integral role in separating Bruce banner from the Hulk, and the Avengers as a whole have been called in many times as a last line of defense to stop the Hulk's rampaging.  After the Hulk's Grey transformation, the Hulk actually joined the Avengers for a while.

Wolverine

Wolverine has met up with the Hulk, usually in conflict, but it always makes for a great story.  Wolverine made his first appearance in issue #181 and the rest is history.  Wolverine hasn't really effected the Hulk's Storyline much, but it's always fun to see who's gonna win.

She-Hulk

She-Hulk is the cousin of Bruce Banner and assumed her identity after a blood transfusion from Bruce was needed for her to live.  The radiated blood from Bruce infected her and thus the transformation.  She-Hulk continues to reappear from time to time and shed a little more light on her personal involvement in the Hulk storyline.

Jim Wilson

Juggernaut

Usually tangled in a brawl with the X-men, Juggernaut has mad a few visits to the Hulk's series and provided some awesome battles.  A classic moment is in issue #404 when the Hulk breaks free of mind control while fighting the Avengers aside Juggernaut.  He then turns on Juggernaut and in a rage knocks Juggernaut's famous helmet off with one punch.

Marlo Jones

Marlo is now married to Rick Jones and not much involved in the TIH series.  However, her first appearance was a Joe Fixit's girlfriend in Vegas.  She then reappears as Rick's girlfriend and world's collide when she is introduced to Bruce.  Marlo is actually killed and then brought back to life by the Leader.

Namor

Namor's involvement with the Hulk is usually in association with the Avenger's continuous attempts to subdue the Big Green Machine back in the Savage Hulk days.  However, the Tales to Astonish series was shared with Namor in the very beginnings of the Hulk's life which show's a continuous underlying connection between these characters.

Thor

The Mighty Son of Odin has had his fair share of shakedowns with the Hulk and is always great to see the destruction and mayhem they can produce.  Actually Thor's appeal to the Hulk was so much that in the TV series, Thor was brought into their story line.  A classic battle between these two is in Thor #385 when the Hulk picks up an oncoming train an chunks it on the mighty one.
