MAIN CHARACTERS
Bruce Banner

Robert Bruce Banner is a brilliant scientist with a troubled childhood.  Bruce was commissioned by the military to build a gamma bomb under the supervision of General Ross.  Bruce's life was changed forever after being caught in the middle of the bomb test, exposing him to massive Gamma radiation.  This opened up an alter-ego known as the Hulk which is spawned from the radiation and Bruce's troubled childhood, and appears at times of intense emotion.

Betty Banner

General Ross' daughter and Bruce Banner's object of affection, Betty has been a strength for Bruce throughout most of his struggle with the Hulk.  She is caught between her father's hatred for Bruce and the Hulk and trying to find herself in the bizarre life.  Betty and Bruce's life was taking on some normalcy as of late but was ended tragically with Betty's death.  To Bruce she is buried and gone but General Ross has her body in a secret chamber in a state of limbo, hoping to find a way to bring her back.

Doctor Leonard Samson

Doc Samson was exposed to Gamma radiation, turning his hair green giving him enormous strength.  He is a psychologist trying to open the doors in Bruce Banner's mind and free him of the Hulk.  Doc Samson has had quite a few battles with the Hulk, almost matching him in strength.  As of late Doc Samson has help the Bruce Banner confront these entities in his mind allowing a sort of alliance and state of calm.  We have seen many hidden parts of Bruce's life thanks to Doc Samson's help.

Rick Jones

You could say that Rick Jones is the cause of this whole mess.  His first appearance is in TIH #1 when he breaks into the Gamma Bomb test site on a dare and is barely rescued by Bruce Banner.  Feeling responsible for Bruce's dilemma Rick feels obligated to try and help Bruce.  Rick actually acquires his own entity of the Hulk when he is thrown in a radiation bath with the Hulk transferring some of the Hulk into Rick.  Latter on Rick meets Marlo Chandler which he is now married to.

General "Thunderbolt" Ross

General "Thunderbolt" Ross is the father of Betty Ross and first appears with Bruce Banner working on the Gamma Bomb.  Bruce's intentions are to build a bomb that destroys property but saves lives.  General Ross sees Banner as weak and hates it even more that his daughter is infatuated with Bruce.  General Ross spends most of his time chasing after the Hulk in attempt to kill him.  Ross has made many mysterious disappearances and reappearance and is currently occupied with trying to bring his daughter back to life.
